Introduction Blog Post
My name is Brenden Vigil, I am a second year student here at CSU Pueblo. I am a Fine Arts major and plan to work within the entertainment industry with animation. I am a nerd at heart and other than drawing and practicing the arts I am into strategy based games, comics, traveling and hiking. The piece of art I chose is called, "The Roving Reporter," by Umbo. This is a portrait of a man named Egon Erwin Kisch. He was a real reporter from the 1920's. The reporter was someone who was constantly on the move seeking new information. What brought my attention to the piece was a culmination of a few things. During the 1920's was the starting point of comics and hero's. This was even mentioned in the video provided in the link. The second reason is because I am currently taking a photography course and interested me that this was made using an image from Egon Kisch. Then the last was the style of the image and the message that is with the piece. https://sm
